Task:
The school media center is hosting a video exhibit on the history of Apartheid. Your class has been task to create videos to be displayed as part of the exhibit. You and a partner will create a video; however you first must research the creation and end of Apartheid prior to making your video. Your research will include the importance of F.W. de Klerk and Nelson Mandela.
These are the steps you will complete:
1. Students will work individually researching the history of Apartheid and complete Research Notes worksheet as they analyze the material given.
2. Students will have an enrichment opportunity after viewing political cartoons on the topic of Apartheid by creating their own political cartoon on the topic of Apartheid.
3. Student will work with a partner to create a video displaying the history of Apartheid using IMovie or Windows Movie maker using a rubric.
4. Share your video during the Apartheid exhibit in the media center.
